We went from this...

Graduation night:

Freshman Year

We could T-bow …

We were naïve…

We were hopeful…

We could barely afford gas…

We were young at heart!

Page 6: RLT 40th reunion

Our Sophomore Year

We thought we had some power.

Page 7: RLT 40th reunion

We became idealist…

Look! Elizabeth volunteering! Little did we know…

We learn the rules of the game…

Page 8: RLT 40th reunion

We had our advocates…

our glory…

and our futures planned.

Page 9: RLT 40th reunion

By our Junior year, we had so many changes to endure.

Mary Hatzenbuehler and Becky Levin

New teachers who looked and thoughtmore like us…

Page 10: RLT 40th reunion

We were victorious!

We rose to the challenge!

Page 11: RLT 40th reunion

We took our evolvingleadership rolesseriously… while preparing for

the future…

resist this one!

Page 14: RLT 40th reunion

We had inspiration…..

and beauty.

Page 15: RLT 40th reunion

Page 16: RLT 40th reunion

We had so much talent!

Page 17: RLT 40th reunion

We had freedom! Ah, Forest Lane! Who could ever forget the night we….

I built up a '62 Econoline with a 292 c.i. and went to Forest

Lane. The first rattle out of the box, I blew up the ring gear in

the "pumpkin"! I never had the money for any

muscle car, but had a '69 Charger with a 318 c.i.

Steve Jarman

I had a 67 gold mustang and wish I still had it.

Maribeth Kelly Forsythe

Page 24: RLT 40th reunion

Thanks to a great yearbook

staff, we have the fond memories

of our youth.Thank you,

Mr. Grantham

Page 25: RLT 40th reunion

We suffered some bumps along the way…

but we kept the spirit going.

Yep—that’s you, Doug!

And you, Rebecca!

Page 26: RLT 40th reunion

We stayed diverse in our vision—right, James?

By listening to the viewpoints of many.

Page 27: RLT 40th reunion

We found the humor

in so many places!

The way we danced.

The way we dressed.

The way we lightenedthe load .

Ok—so, funny story—When I went back in’ 76 toteach at RLT, this prank by Robert Lemons was still abeing talked aboutin the teachers’ lounge! The teachers still thoughtit was hilarious! I was a student aide during that period. Mrs. Strickland was not laughing nor did she find it funny.

Yes, Steve, this is you!

Page 28: RLT 40th reunion

We remember the teachers whoguided us to the end of Senior year.

Well, Mr. King didn’tso much guide ‘us’

as he taughtfreshman.

I just thought he was so-o-ohandsome.

You are too, John.

Page 29: RLT 40th reunion

Page 30: RLT 40th reunion

We played hard!

Jerry Shields

Page 31: RLT 40th reunion

It paidoff in the

long run.

Page 32: RLT 40th reunion

We left the world a prettier place. We had the best court ever!

Page 33: RLT 40th reunion

Somehow we made it to that fateful June night when Mr. Newman Smithgave his address –his 1 ½ hour long address –to the Seniors. It was a message sent from above when the goal post began picking up a radio signal and we could no longer hear him. Although, as I recall, somebody (who shall remain nameless) had some Coors under those robes and it made the evening not seem so long…

Diane Carruth Wysockiand Linda Godley:

We drove the roads of Carrollton & Farmers Branch

and the surrounding area until 3 am. We went to a party at

Lee Park and some other parties—

all in all it was a great time!

We were free from the drudgery of high school and celebrated…little did we know what real life was!

In memory of those who have passed on…..

If I could save time in a bottle

The first thing that I'd like to do

Is to save every day 'til eternity passes away

Just to spend them with you …

Lest we forget
