Some Tips for the Online Student

Start your research with the subject guides.

Know your Blackboard username/password. When you are off campus, you need to enter it to get access

Get a FSU library card – we can arrange for you to get a card through the phone. Ask for Peg Snyder.

Ask for help! Librarians can help with brainstorming key words, recommending the best sources, locating peer reviewed articles, citing sources, ordering books, finding a class…

And don’t use Wikipedia – professors don’t like it
