For movies Cinderella is played by a real woman and still has the same outlook as the cartoons, this time with a slightly darker hair colour. The most common picture is a fairy-tale is a castle/palace and a moat.

These images can be done on the computer using rotoscope or other tools.

Or hand drawn like this.

Children up to the age of 12 enjoy going to Disney land to see the characters from the books they have read e.g. Snow White and the seven dwarves.

Fairy tales can also be told through computer games. With young children now, reading on the internet and playing games with their favourite Disney star or book character.

On this particular site, the Cinderella story, there is only 5 pages in the book, meaning that that the text is written back to back.Cinderella has now evolved and has

been made into a movie for older children, starring Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray.

The hungry caterpillar is hand drawn, following the journey of a hungry caterpillar. The font is like a times new roman font, it is spaced out so that the children can read the letters carefully and try and pronounce the words properly.

Some scenes from Charlie and Lola show backgrounds, from which they are hand drawn. Most of the scenes are of Lola hand drawn, where as some backgrounds are done using digital graphics.

The older books tend to be more hand drawn and the newer books are finished by using digital graphics.

The owl and the pussycat both look to be hand drawn and the stereotype of the cat shines through i.e. looking like a tiger.

The whale however, in the background looks to be photoshopped in as the boat and the animals have more of a hand drawn feel to them.

Both animals have bright, wide yellow eyes.

The Age range for this book is 3-7 years, it is a book to be read at night time to young children and is good for slow learners, to use a tune to help remember words.

Victorian graphic novels always included murder, in children, babies and adults.

So far there are 115 copies of Walking Dead, this is now a TV series, which is currently on it’s 4th series.

Maus tells the tale of a young man and his father. His father was a Holocaust survivor. The context of the book explains about the Nazi’s being the cats, and the Jews mice.

The color scheme is very colorful, with a yellow/orange theme running throughout.

Batman and Robin are deemed to be very muscular, which makes them more heroic.

There is lots of speech in the grids, however there is only 3 grids, where there is analysis of of the comic strip.

The figure of the bat is enforced throughout the strip, i.e. in the title, on his suit and through the torchlight.

The target audience for this particular comic strip is older boys.

This is because there is a lot of text and younger boys may not be interested in reading all the text.
