Representation is how the media present current news from celebrities or in a new release ie films, or any special events.

The media can represent this in a positive or a negative way. They can also say these things too put people off or attract toparticular things, such as different food brands or diffrent clothing brands or a new film that has bee released.

How it relates to sci fi ?There are male and female characters in sci fi films but now there is a increase in female characters.

Sci fi characters dress up to give the media a positive message of creativity.
