Popular report Designed for non technical users To study quickly the major findings & conclusions Less concerned with methodological details Format of this report is different from that of

technical report1. After brief introduction to the problem and

objectives of the study, an abstract of the findings, conclusion and recommendation is presented.

2. The methodological details, data analysis and their decisions presented in the second part.

Interim report One of the most effective when there

is long time lag between data collection and presentation of the result.

This short report may contain either the first result of the analysis or final outcome of the analysis

Summary report For lay audience Desirable for any study whose

findings are of general interest It is written in non technical language It is a short report (2-3 pages)

Research abstract Short summary of technical report Prepared by doctoral students on the

eve of submitting his thesis It contains brief presentation of the

statement problem, objective of study, methods and techniques used and an overview of the report
