Wind energy is projected to grow another 14.6% in production capacity in the next year alone in the U.S. (USEIA,Web)

Where we are going….

Page 3: Renewable Energy Program

Solar Energy is expected to climb even higher.Growth has doubled in the past year alone.(USEIA,Web)

Page 4: Renewable Energy Program

Solar energy projects represented a whopping 10,400 green jobs, equaling 75% of all power generation and 25% of all green jobs.(Marcacci, web)

Not to be outdone, wind energy projects chipped in more than 2,500 new positions, up from just 800 in the first quarter.(Marcacci, web)

What does that mean to me and my future?

Page 5: Renewable Energy Program

Nearly 60 projects were either announced or launched in 27 states during 2nd quarter in 2013.

These projects will create 38,600 green jobs.

For the first time, Kansas and Missouri each made the top-10 list of states to announce clean energy projects in the second quarter of 2013. (Environmental Entrepreneurs, web)

What does that mean for Kansas?
