Four Themes of the Renaissance

Humanism – a cultural and intellectual movement that emphasized literature, art, and civilization of ancient Greece and Rome.

Secularism – a trend away from looking to religion for all answers

Individualism – a concept that values individual creativity and intelligence

Rationality – using reason and logic as the reliable basis for testing any claims of truth
