April28th Monday

This is not only the first day of the journey but also the first flight of my life. From Halle we first went to Wittenberg and then to Berlin by trainThen we changed to the plane and flew directly to Krakow.After we had arrived in Krakow we took the bus to the hotel.After the check-in we justexchanged some money and looked for something to eat.

April29th Tuesday

The next short visit

Development.In the afternoon we went to the Polish vocational school for mechanics.The Polish school system is alittle different from the German one.

Everyone starts with a 6-year primary school education.After having finished that, middle school

calledstarts. It's“gymnasium”, but it is a little different from our „gymnasium“.Finished this, there isthe choice between an education at

secondary school, an education at university or a vocational edu-cation.

April30th

Wednesday

On Wednesday we were driven to the Tyskie brewery. Excisting for more than 400 years this brewery is one of the oldest but also most modern breweries in Europe. It produces more than 260000 bottles which are up to 60000 bottles in only one hour.

May1st

Thursday

This day we went to the salt mine Wieliczka, one of the oldest and most famous salt mines in the world.

Friday

On Friday we split into two groups and got the task to visit some famous sights in Krakow.

Saturday

On the fifth day of our journey we visited the Auschwitz Concentration Camp. It was built during World War II and consists of Auschwitz I,Auschwitz Auschwitz

II-Birkenau III-Monowitz.

and Jews, SovietPoles, Romani and Sinti,

prisoners, Jehovah's Witnesses and homosexuals were deported there. Up to 1,5 million prisoners died.

Sunday

At the halfway point of our trip we had to change the location, so we took the train from Krakow to Warsaw. The rest of the day we used to visit the city.

Monday

Tuesday

On Tuesday we went to Polfrost. Polfrost is an international forwarding agency It offers various logistics services, such as transportation, loading, unloading, storage and customs clearance.In the afternoon we had a little workshop about business English.

May7th

Wednesday

We continued our workshop on Wednesday morning. Finishedthat, our next destination wasthe AHK Warsaw.The day was concluded with avisit at the German Embassy.

The AHK supports upcoming companies with services like business partner mediation, contact research, market research or information around the law.

The German embassy represents Germany abroad. Its tasks consist for example of obtaining and reporting information, supporting companies in promoting international trading or informing the public abroad about the German foreign policy

May8th

Thursday

On Monday we got the task to plan a seightseeing tour through Warsaw. This day, on Thursday, it was time to start the trip.In the afternoon we wrote a littletest to check what we have learnedduring our especially understood

Friday

Our last day in Warsaw started at 4a.m. just to catch the train to Berlin. At 2 p.m. we finally arrived in Halle.
