Expressing regret
Below some expressions to express regret1. Expressing regret about someone’s personal
circumstances.- I’m sorry to hear about that.- Oh, that’s too bad. I’m sorry to hear it.
2. Expressing regret about a minor accident or event.- What a pity.- What a shame - What a nuisance.
3. Expressing shock or regret about a serious incident.- Goodness!- How awful!- How terrible!- How dreadful!
Expressing apology
Below are some expressions to apologize to someone.

To ask for permission, you can use some expressions below.
