REFLECTIONSSt. Paul's CollegeNAAC Re-accredited Institution(Affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University)Kalamassery-683 503
The scent of newly printed books, eye catching covers, famous names, the lovely rustle of paper….all came vibrantly alive at the week-long International Book Fair organized at St. Paul's College, Kalama ssery's auditorium on 18/09/2014. A brain
child of the College Golden Jubilee Celebration's General Convenor, Sri. Edwin Joseph, the fair was
in keeping with the theme of meaningful celebrations on the occasion of the college's Golden Jubilee.
In a formal inaugural ceremony presided over by the College Manager, Rev. Fr Felix Chakkalakkal, the Principal, Dr. Edwin Xavier welcomed the gathering. Prof. K. V. Thomas, M.P and former Central Minister, inaugurated the International book fair and delighted the audience with his promise to donate books to the new digital library and sponsor both the 'D space' proposal and solar energy panels from his M. P. fund.
The fair was conducted by the college with the help of Calicut Book Distributers. About thirty publishers participated and around three crore rupees worth books were displayed. The fair also happened to be the first of its kind organized in the Kalamassery region, and proved to be a boon to both the public and the many educational institutions in the area. In addition, there were several literary compe-titions organized for both school and college students. The fair continued till 25/09/2014.

On the 11th of June, 2014, the redesigned website of St. Paul's College, Kalamassery was formally launched by the College Manager, Rev. Fr Felix Chakkalakkal in a simple ceremony at the seminar hall. Though simple, the ceremony was 'technologically correct'- rather than cutting a ribbon or lighting a lamp, the manager simply pushed a button on the laptop and the site was launched! The Manager congratulated the 'young turks' of the college on their initiative and noted that the website is yet another feather in our cap.
