Reflection Unit Four Gabriela Quezada Cabezas This unit was related to the systems of the language and how to assess them based on an integrative and communicative approach. In this unit we were asked to select two different online performance-based assessment instruments to assess any two of three systems of the language and describe how it works in terms of the practice, variety of topic, amount of exercises, and feedback among others. Regarding to this assignment, it can be mentioned that it was a relevant and useful assignment that allowed as making a relation between the assessment of the systems of the language and the use of ICT’s such as a webpage. As teachers to-be, we have to be updated and in constant development of our training, therefore to know about the new technologies is a fundamental issue to deal with. We have to keep in mind that nowadays our students belong to the generation of technology; they grew up with smartphones, computers, and the use of internet. Furthermore, ICT’s have demonstrated to foster and enhance the learning of a second language, so it is our responsibility to make the learning process more interesting, motivating and meaningful for the students.
