You and your group of friends have noticed the trash and waste in Pepsi Park has recently grown to disturbing proportions. The city mayor asked for your help to inform the city about recycling. Are you up to the task?

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to assist the mayor in alerting the town of the growing filth in the park. He is all about going green, and if you do not do something soon, the park may be lost forever!

Since you have decided to take on the task of cleaning up the city, some goals of your mission are listed below:

Inform the residents of the city about the problem and how they can help

Set up a recycling program, including bins for each item, in the park

Educate the residents about the importance of recycling

Set time aside to clean up the garbage in the park by hand

Create fliers to alert people of the problem.

a. I, the mayor of Pepsi-town, will divide you into groups of 4.b. You and your group should decide amongst yourselves which role you would like to

assume Head of Recycling Operations

This person will research what items should be recycled and how, and what should be thrown away .

Head of Clean-Up OperationsThis person is in charge of finding out where the unused trash will go and what will happen to it.

Head of Research OperationsThis person is in charge of finding new things that can be made from recyclable objects.

Head of InformationThis person is responsible for finding out how to get recycling bins to the park and to the people.

a. Your group should then begin researching your role description. Take notes on what you find.

b. After you find adequate data, you should converse with your group to discuss what is a good course of action

c. After you and your group have decided what your course of action will be, you will present your ideas and thoughts to the class.

d. Finally, the class will decide which group has come up with the most innovative, creative and efficient way to rid the park of its trash problem and implement a recycling program.
