Record label analysis

From looking at various record labels it is clear

that many labels around the world are kept very

basic and easily recognisable, mainly it shows the

name of the label with a small image to identify it.

Example 1

Here we can see sonys record label which is kept

very basic and straight to the point, it uses a

music symbol instad of the symbol “&” to stand

out and be individual, however it is not very eye

catching as it is very bland.

Example 2

With Emi however the use of red is very eye-

catching to the audience which can help it in

being very identifiable. However people who

have not seen this label before will have no clue

that this is a music label at all

How this will help us

From this research we hope to make a label that

is to the point but also stands out and catches

your eye, we also wish to make sure that this

label is identified as a music label to those who

have not seen it before.
