To Whom It May Concern: I had the pleasant opportunity to work closely with Melissa for the past three years during her employment at Barton County Community College. We served on an academic advising committee together, had interaction during advising forums, and was an advisor to several of my student athletes. I am pleased to say that Melissa is a team player, an ideal coworker and a kind and sincere individual. Melissa always did more than her share of the work on the projects we shared. She often took the initiative to get things started and picked up the slack when things were going slowly. Melissa was nice to everybody on campus, and just about everyone seemed to like her. As Advisement Coordinator, Melissa was a liaison between advisors, the administration, and the faculty and was often at the intersection of conflicting viewpoints. Melissa was always patient and fair in hearing these concerns and handled her role with a great deal of grace and diplomacy. She was often able to rise above the conflict, analyze the situation objectively, and make the right decision, even if it was difficult or unpopular. Because of the way Melissa interacts with student-athletes, she is able to create an atmosphere amongst her advisees that in my mind is ideal. She is extremely supportive of their needs in difficult times, yet at the same time helps them to become self-sufficient. She will hold them accountable, while still being compassionate, and will be the first to their defense if she feels they have been wronged. Because of this, the student-athletes both trust and respect her. I am pleased to highly recommend Melissa for an academic

To Whom It May Concern:

I had the pleasant opportunity to work closely with Melissa for the past three years during her employment at Barton County Community College.

I am pleased to highly recommend Melissa for an academic advising position with your institution. Should I ever be in a position to hire someone for a similar position myself, I will make one call and it will be to Melissa Lloyd.

Sincerely,

John Hunter Head Volleyball Coach Barton County Community College
