submitted to help you improve and understand

your score. It is important for you to seek that

feedback and read those reactions so that you

do not repeat errors and can follow the

recommendations that may not be found

elsewhere. Feedback and comments provide a

wealth of information, but you need to access

it to make the most of it.

THREE ways to view

DROPBOX FEEDBACK

Select the ‘Dropbox’ from the Navbar

Click on the ‘View’ link, to open feedback from your instructor on an assignment previously uploaded to the Dropbox.

Under View Feedbackshows the two submitted papers, and a Score of 10 out of 10 (100%).

And here is the “Instructor’s written Feedback”

When finished, select the “Done” button.

Click on the ‘View’ link, to open feedback from your instructor on an assignment previously uploaded to the Dropbox.

Instructor feedback can be written Comments, directly onto a student’s submitted document. (In WORD these are called “Markup”).

To download a submitted document click on the file; which is also an active link.

A dialog box opens to “Open… or Save File”.

Save your file(s), then open it from your desktop to see comments added.

This WORD document has comments, but they’re hidden!

To view the comments,select “View” from the top menu,then dropdown and select “Markup”

“Markup” comment now shows in this document as a comment ‘bubble’ on the right side of the paper. They can be created in different colors, seen here in Blue.

On the Review tab, click Show Markup in the Tracking group, and then select the Commentscheck box.

If you do not see the comment balloon, click Print Layout or Web Layout on the View tab.

On the View menu, click Markup. Word displays balloons in your document for each comment. If you do not see the comment balloon, click Print Layout or Web Layout on the View menu.

For this ‘balloon view’ you will need to hover over the image to read the comment.

Instructor feedback can be written as Comments directly onto a student’s submitted PowerPoint. Download your PPT then open and search for these small box comments in the top left corner of the slide.

3. RUBRICS FEEDBACK

Rubrics are used to assess your achievement on assignments in your course, based on predefined achievement levels and assessment criteria.

They help ensure that activities are evaluated fairly and consistently, and enable you to view the grading criteria in advance of submitting assignments.

Your instructor MAY enter personalized feedback for you on the rubric, which will appear in the feedback area of the folder.

How rubrics relate to your grade:

Rubrics can be attached to any Dropbox assignment, Discussions, or ANY assessed item in a course.

How do I know when my grades are available? In Notifications in your Personal Settings dropdown menu.

You can sign up to receive immediate text or email notifications when a grade item is released or updated.

You must set up a contact method before subscribing to notifications. From your personal settings menu on the minibar, click Notifications.

2. The Navbar’s More Tools and dropdown to choose the User Progress tool

3. Select from the Minibar’s Personal Settings and dropdown to choose Progress.

All three selections take you to the same ‘User Progress’ page.

The User Progress tool helps track your progress in a course by measuring the completion of nine different indicators to keep track of your course-specific assignments and instructor feedback.
