Information literacy
• A key skill in information society• In Rovaniemi UAS information literacy is taught in 3 stages.
It is integrated into the curriculum.– 1st year: basics of information seeking, the library
database– 2nd year: international information sources– information seeking for thesis
• For exchange students: library orientation• The goal is that students are able to independently seek
information and use the library resources, and become information literate.
Information literacy continued…• Students can reserve a time for personal assistance in in
information seeking
• Teachers can request additional lessons for their classes
