What are Radio Trailers?
an advertisement for a new film which is played on radio.
Conventions of Radio Trailers
▪ The normal length of a radio trailer can be around 25 – 30 seconds.
▪ What is included:
▪ Voiceover – including hints of sound and speech from the film
▪ Information about the film will feature at the end of the film (Certificate and release date).
▪ The slogan if the film has one.
▪ Added soundtracks to create effect.
An example of a Radio Trailer/Spot
▪ This is a radio trailer of some films that were broadcasted at the time on the radio. The films that are included are Gravity, Pacific Rim, The Conjuring and The Great Gatsby.
• Included in these trailers are the conventions that firstly the trailers are normally around 25 – 30 seconds long.
• It includes a voiceover of what to expect from the film, reviews and when it will be released.
• There is also snippets of film clips that are seemed interesting and also giving the first indication of what will be included in the film.
• Soundtracks of the film are also able to be heard throughout the film.
