I got eleven responses to my questionnaire based on a rock magazine target market. The aim was to try and establish the best age and social group top place in. Firstly the most popular age range of my 11 responses 90% of the responses was from the age group 15-17, this is perfect as it means I can use a less colloquial language and target the content of my magazine at a teenage audience, but still sticking to a rock styling of dark colours and fonts. The most popular gender form my 11 responses was female, which means I can aim at providing a range of male and female, but mostly female celebrity’s in my magazine, which will encourage the female audience to buy it because there are female celebrities, allow 36% of the responses where male so I will need to balance it. The personal interests section was to show if I could include anything in the magazine that would appeal to the audience, but as the most popular response was staying at home or going out with friends It will be hard to include things that will appeal to them. Most of the responses about the music question where about rock and so I know that I am okay as far as being a rock magazine genre is concerned. Although I could include a charts table and then highlight any rock songs included in the chart and write a review to encourage the audience to buy the song, it won’t help the magazine but it will help the rock industry. Unfortunately the majority of the audience didn’t read magazines, so I am really going to have to sell my magazine to the audience in order for them to like it. I okay on the celebrity side of my magazine as long as I include some of the most popular artists of the genre and the most popular from the questionnaire, which was slash. Nearly every response was that they wanted to see interviews and chart news in the magazine, so of course I am going to focus on providing a top quality interview with the celebrities. I will keep the layout of magazine simple, with an even balance of both text and images as this was the most popular result with 90% of them being “a bit of both” this will appeal to the older audience as they do not mind reading but want some visual aid as well. I am defiantly going to be using dark colours because it received 80% of the votes, which is good being it is very typical of a rock magazine to have dark colours such as reds and blacks, this means the audience will know it is a rock magazine. I am going to be using a bold text as it fared most popular in the questionnaire, again this is Conventional to a rock magazine because they usually have bold texts depending on the importance of the writing, and kerrang is an example of one that uses bold text. So in conclusion my magazine will be aimed at 15-17 year old females with some male features as well, I will use the most popular and modern rock celebrities and the text will be bold. The colours of my magazine will be blacks and reds of all different shades.

I got eleven responses to my questionnaire based on a rock magazine target market. The aim was to try and establish the best age and social group top place in.

Firstly the most popular age range of my 11 responses 90% of the responses was from the

age group 15-17, this is perfect as it means I can use a less colloquial language and target

the content of my magazine at a teenage audience, but still sticking to a rock styling of dark

colours and fonts.

The most popular gender form my 11 responses was female, which means I can aim at

providing a range of male and female, but mostly female celebrity’s in my magazine, which

will encourage the female audience to buy it because there are female celebrities, allow 36% of the responses where male so I will need to balance it.

The personal interests section was to show if I could include anything in the magazine that

would appeal to the audience, but as the most popular response was staying at home or going out with friends It will be hard to include things that will appeal to them.

Most of the responses about the music question where about rock and so I know that I am

okay as far as being a rock magazine genre is concerned. Although I could include a charts

table and then highlight any rock songs included in the chart and write a review to

encourage the audience to buy the song, it won’t help the magazine but it will help the rock industry.

Unfortunately the majority of the audience didn’t read magazines, so I am really going to

have to sell my magazine to the audience in order for them to like it.

I okay on the celebrity side of my magazine as long as I include some of the most popular artists of the genre and the most popular from the questionnaire, which was slash.

Nearly every response was that they wanted to see interviews and chart news in the

magazine, so of course I am going to focus on providing a top quality interview with the

celebrities.

I will keep the layout of magazine simple, with an even balance of both text and images as

this was the most popular result with 90% of them being “a bit of both” this will appeal to the older audience as they do not mind reading but want some visual aid as well.

I am defiantly going to be using dark colours because it received 80% of the votes, which is

good being it is very typical of a rock magazine to have dark colours such as reds and blacks, this means the audience will know it is a rock magazine.

I am going to be using a bold text as it fared most popular in the questionnaire, again this is

Conventional to a rock magazine because they usually have bold texts depending on the importance of the writing, and kerrang is an example of one that uses bold text.

So in conclusion my magazine will be aimed at 15-17 year old females with some male

features as well, I will use the most popular and modern rock celebrities and the text

will be bold. The colours of my magazine will be blacks and reds of all different

shades.
