Low Angle shots create the effect of the audience watching the person. Mostly used to show weakness or peering over someone's shoulder.

Low angle shot of the phone adds emphasis to the importance of it.

Use of not having the characters face in shot creates the mystery of a ‘who done it scenario?’

Two Shot establishes connections between two characters usual used to show characters that are in relationships.

Arm over the shoulder shows comforting nature of the character.

The clothing and hair show the characters stereotype and gives them identity which the audience can relate to.

This shot shows how the characters are connected but that there is something going on between them with the expression of the actors.

Use of costumes and props emphasise characters stereotypical appearance and style and often hint at storylines/actions.

We also decided to use phones as a way to express and relate to the intended audience as the audience will usually have access to this technology.

The use of having a close up of the phone adds tension as sometimes cause we can not see who is holding the phone or whose it is.

Phones were a great way to show how the soap reflects everyday life as it is available to everyone.

We used this shot from a Eastenders episode as it was effective to show the character in the car as if we were stood right next to them empathising the crash. This created a big tension to the audience as it captures their emotion and questioning to find out what went on to get to where this person is now.

I decided to use the song ‘Broken’ by Seether featuring Amy Lee as the tone of the song fitted my trailer but also the use of having the male and female singer added impact to the trailer due to the main storylines of love.

This is affective as the storyline/narrative fit the genre of the song and its message. This creates a relationship between the story and the song as the way its put it behind like a background sound due to it being non diegtic makes it seem as if it describes the characters life. Plus what the soap mainly revolves around.

The music comes in to the start very quietly then builds up with the guitar playing a sad tone to the trailer, editing the music so it would be quieter when people were talking was a great way to show the importance of the characters speech to each other.
