There are 3 types of questions:
- Tag Questions- Yes/No Questions- Informative Questions
Question words.... Tag words
Tag questions are used when the speaker is trying to involve the listener in the conversation.
Question words....
The listener is put in the position of agreeing or disagreeing with the speaker.

They are formed by adding ¿no? or ¿verdad? at the end of a sentence.

When the sentence is negative only or ¿verdad? should be used. Using ¿no? after a another no is a no-no.

There are three Spanish interrogative pronouns that can be translated to the English word what: qué, cuál, and cómo.

What rule 1: Always use qué to mean what directly in front of any noun.

¿ Qué comida comen ellos? What food do they eat?

What rule 2: Qué is used in front of any form of the verb ser when asking for a definition or an explanation.

What rule 3: Cuál is used to mean what in front of any form of the verb ser when you're really asking for a choice or specific answer.¿ Cuál es tu dirección? What is your address?

What rule 4: In English when someone says something you don't hear, you say, “what?” If this happens in Spanish, the one word response, “¿ Cómo?” is appropriate.
