I used my friend as my model who is the same age as my target audience so I thought that would help when trying to attract readers. I put the majority of the photos in black and white to create a simple and dramatic look which would hopefully attract the younger generation as it is quite a young magazine. My front cover has a picture of my friend who is holding eye contact with whoever is reading the magazine, this gives us their attention and makes them want to read it. I have dressed my model in black to correspond with the layout of the magazine which is in black and white. The magazines I looked at had their models in black and white and to me, it seemed to work a lot better than the coloured pictures because it created more drama and mystery to the pictures used.

At the beginning, I looked at taking the photos outside because of the photos I had looked at in other magazines, I thought this would create more meaning to the photo. In the end, due to the weather I took the photos inside on a white background so there was nothing in the background to distract the audience. If I was to do anything differently, I would make sure the weather was good and use my surroundings to enhance the photos I produced. I would provide more outfits for my model so not all the photos looked the same and give myself more time to make sure the photos were to the best of my ability. I would learn to use Photoshop to the best of my ability so I knew that my photo-editing skills would compliment my pictures and make them more visually appealing.
