How have you progressed
Planning
• More detailed storyboard in comparison to prelim task
• Previous research into other films gave inspiration
• More of an understanding of what we were doing
• Better knowledge of how to plan for filming
Equipment and Camera Skills
• We initially used a flip camera in prelim, we used more cameras and better quality cameras in the final task.
• Didn't develop skills so much as I was acting, however did help set up shots and gave my opinions on how to improve and give a better shot.
• Improved knowledge and understanding on what gives the best shots
• Used a variety of shots
• Framing was much better
• Better movement of camera, far smoother
Editing• I had a rough understanding of editing from the prelim task
• Longer time meant more care when editing
• Better effects with fading and cutting
• Overlaying images to create more effect
• Learnt how to edit sound into the final film
• Learnt how to add titles and credits to shots
• Made sure the credits were not too big as to cover up to much of the shot
• Improved titles by making them animated and put effects on them as to incorporate them into the film more.
• Ident’s also animated with sound to make them professional.
Sound• Recorded and found sounds separate and overlayed
them while removing sound from the initial shots
• Made the sounds more clear and removed background noise
• Recording a voice over and importing it developed my skills
• I had to research and find sounds to put into the film
• The sounds would be cut down and edited so they worked well with the shots in the film.
