GoPro Hero 3 White editionThis camera was used to get the point of view shots used in the film. Although I had used this before while riding i had not used one for film making and therefore incorporating the footage into the final film was new. The camera itself is very simplistic and therefore using it/filming with it/ uploading footage was all very simple and easy to do. This camera was perfect for what we needed and gave great quality point of view shots and worked really well for what we needed it to do. The camera did not effect the project a whole lot as it was so simple it did not effect time and it meant I could film on my own with it therefore allowing more time for filming. I would use the camera again to get similar shots, also as it is robust i would use it to get dangerous shots that could cause other cameras to break.

Premier ProWe used adobe Premier Pro as our main editing software. This is because it is relatively straight forward and I learnt to use it quickly. I had some experience editing with this software from our preliminary task, although this was very little and basic. However this meant my skills were further developed. I found the software to be easy to use and gave a professional finish which looked great on the final product. It did however at the start hinder progress as it could only be saved onto my account and therefore required me to be there the whole time for the editing which I was unable to do due to medical reasons. This is the only editing software I would use because of its professionalism.

Google Drive• As a result of me not able to

be there for editing all the time we found ourselves at a dilemma where we could not all access the work. Therefore we set up the drive in a group account which meant we could save it and have the file in one place for us all to have access to and then as a result it meant that we were no longer hindered in the editing process and we could continue no matter who was there or not on the day.

Pentax K-30• We used this camera to capture

the majority of the shots. It was an excellent camera and produced far better quality than what was on offer from school. The camera acted well on the tripod and gave very good quality footage. Convenience was an issue as it was from one of our group which meant it could only be used with him around. Also it was large so meant manoeuvrability was a small issue also. However we captured a lot of footage using it and it made our film better as a result.

IPhone 6• I used my IPhone 6 16GB for 2

processes in the production of the film. I used the application “voice memos” to record the voiceover for the film. This was easy to do as I could easily record whenever and send the recording to the drive which we all shared. I also used the camera to film a short part of the film from home. The video quality can be set really high at 1080p and 60fps. Therefore I used this setting when filming the scene. The footage was of good quality so as a result it does not stand out in the final edit.

Blogger• I used blogger to document

the process of the film, including research, production and testing. This became useful as it is part of Google and as a result has easy access to youtube so uploading videos to the blog from youtube was easy. Also the format itself was very self explanatory and therefore was easy to use and easy to pick up. I would use this website again for further blogging and to document my work.

Youtube• I used youtube to upload all my

film progress and for some audience testing. Youtube was good in the way it is linked with Google and blogger. This meant uploading from the drive was easy so could be done from whatever computer. Youtube is also accessible when uploading videos to blogger, so the link can be easily found and embedded into the blog work. I would definitely use Youtube for further video uploading as it is easy to use and is very easily accessible with a global audience.

PC and Mac• I used multiple computers when

doing the process. I used both Mac and PC during the task. All editing was carried out on PC where the editing software was. This restricted editing slightly as it had to be on PC. However all other work was carried out on my Apple Macbook air 11”. This is because i always had it and could do work whenever so made the most sense to use. With access to the drive also it meant i had access to all finished files even though they were exported on the PC. All upload work was carried out on Mac.
