CONVENTIONSThe audience would also be attracted because of

the use of conventional features of other chick flick films, so they would be able to recognise this as a

film they would enjoy.

SCHOOL SETTINGThe target audience who would most

likely be at school would recognise this setting so would be able to relate to the surroundings and situations that it brings.

RECOGNISABLE CHARACTER The character is a typical

representation of teenager that would normally be in chick flick genre film so the audience would be able to connect and relate to the character.

MUSICThe music is pop song which the audience

would like, so this would engage them from the start and also it adds to the pace of the opening so this would too add to the audience interest.

NARRATIVEThe narrative of the opening is an event

that the audience can relate to as have most likely experienced it themselves and it also creates many enigmas for them to want to watch the film.
