Which media institution would distribute your product and why?

For our film we have chosen Paramount Pictures to distribute our film as they have released a lot of film noir movies in the past. We intended to release sequels to the film as a continuous story, similar to the lord of the rings. This would bring in lots of money for the media institution so they would likely pay to distribute the film. We also intend to release merchandise with the film, which would in turn intrigue people to watch the film and make more money for the media institution.

For the release date, all we included on the poster was coming soon. We did this to add to the enigma of the film. The film would also get a wide release, maximising the income generated from the release of this film. To try and increase the number of people that would come see our film we would likely attempt publicity stunts and wide range of advertisements, ranging from TV trailers to billboard advertisements.

As you can see, Paramount Pictures doesn’t have total gross but is still number 5. They are also larger than the other companies for producing films that fit into the film noir genre; therefore we have decided that they would be the most suitable distributor to distribute our film.
