HOW DID YOU ATTRACT/ADDRESS YOUR

AUDIENCE?

Blonde Murder Victim:

Firstly, the character (murder victim) could attract the audience, especially the Hollywood viewers due to the stereotypical representation of a murder victim which it could make it clearer to the audience about the death of the victim. This could also create a sympathetic feel among the audience due to the fact that they don’t know what the victim did end up murdered as it is clearly a murder.

CHARACTER

How did you attract/address your audience?

The story line could appeal to the audience because the opening title sequence is a slow build up to a puzzle. However, later on the storyline speeds up. This means it appeals to both a younger audience (teenager) and older (up to 30). The film is intended to have medium amount of action, similar to taken and it will also have a few emotional scenes where the father suffers psychological problems and depression and also anger due to his daughter being murdered. This, therefore, could appeal to our audience range due to the fact the storyline addresses both types of audience. However, the opening title sequence was purposely created to be slow in order for the story line to build up from it and it was an important part of the film so it needed to be slow in order for everyone to understand at first.

Furthermore, the location was also important in attracting the audience due to the fact that it was situated in an isolated area which makes the atmosphere sinister and it portrays a vulnerable sense to the character. Therefore, this could attract the audience as there is a slight sense of foreshadowing due to the location and also the fact that the character doesn’t speak and is only seen for a short time.

LOCATION/HOUSE

In addition, the opening scene could attract a lot of the middle-class audience due to the fact that the character lived in a nice house. This could suggest that the girl comes from a privileged house. This could suggest that many people from this type of audience group can relate to it. However, this film is made to attract a variety of people from different backgrounds so it wasn’t an important factor.
