Q5- how did you attract/address your audience?

Straight away teens could find this film comical, a typical ‘hung-over’ teen that we can all relate to.

The mark adds mystery to the film opening as the character is in a clear panic over it. Many other fantasy films use things like this to add mystery/fear/ to show a group. For example harry potter

uses the dark mark showing evil wizards and the deathly hallows to represent powerful objects. This sort of thing sets aside these films from reality.

Although a little cheesy the whole ‘I don’t remember last night’ face hooks an audience straight away because like the character they want to know what happened last night. This sort of thing can also be seen in Gossip Girl and The maze runner both films that are aimed at a young adult

audience.

A party is right up any teens street and with a drunken music vibe mixed with this blurry scene it feels like the audience is there. The misfit teens from shows like skins and films like 21 and over (both of which are aimed at my target audience) make it so the audience can relate because they themselves have been in that situation.

It’s a fantasy that could really happen.

The eerie sounds and chant to this scene make it creepy and get the audience hooked as they dive deeper into the mystery.

In just using 1 line in the whole of our opening the audience remember it. This is an important line because the whole film

is based around it. After looking at other vampire films I found that rock music opens them. I think this is because tis upbeat and action like and gives the audience a clue as to what they are in for.
