By the artist on the front cover looking straight forward it creates a direct more of address. This shows that the artist as making a connection with the person reading the front cover. This is due to the fan base that will be looking at the cover as it shows a forward intimidating look.

The biggest front on the cover is ‘camerz new song’ the text is so large as it is the main feature within the magazine. By having the text so large it means that it can easily catch the attention of readers. By also having it in a different font it shows that it is the most important part of the magazine as its different than the rest.

By using a bold header for the masthead it meant that the magazine would stand out compared to others. The header is clearly the most important part of the magazine and we can see this as it’s bigger than everything on the page as is also above everything else on the page. By the font that I have used it fits the urban theme of the magazine as it’s not just plain it is also quirky and interesting which allows the theme of the magazine to be represented.

The graphics that are seen on the cover are to show that the magazine has more to offer. The ‘+’ is a synonyms for the word ‘plus’ by using this on the front page it allows the reader to feel that the magazine has a lot more to show and that there is more text throughout the magazine that may not be identified on the front cover.

By using buzzwords such as; ‘exclusive’. This shows that the magazine is directly targeting their audience as they feel as if they know what they want to read. By having the word ‘exclusive’ it also shows that the magazine company know exactly what the reader want to hear and also the best impression that they can give off.

The colour scheme is red, grey, black and white. I used these colours as they are all unisex. This means that my magazine can be targeted at both male and women. The colours fit with the genre as they’re hard core colours that allow the magazine to give off a urban feel.

By having a medium long shot it shows that my artist is the main feature on the magazine. This is because he is the biggest feature on the cover meaning he stands out compared to the rest. By him being so big it means that his importance is shown.

Page 6: DocumentQ1

I have placed the tagline in the top left corner of the magazine cover. This is because magazine are usually displayed in the shop with the left side of the magazine facing outwards. By having the tag line It means that people are able to easily identify the magazine brand.

Page 7: DocumentQ1

By using celebrity names on my front cover it allows people to identify the artists attracting fans and celebrity admires.

Different sized text shows Different meanings and representation. Meaning when having small text it is less important as the bigger more noticeable text. This means that the bigger text will be able to catch attention from the readers as they’re celebrity names.

The strapline shows excess features in the magazine. This allows readers to see other key features within the magazine.

A bold title for the contents page allows it to stand out to the audience and also allows them to understand what the page is. By having the title in the same font as the main title it allows people to make a connection with the text and the magazine, meaning they will recognise the text and the brand

Page 9: DocumentQ1

The layout of my contents page is massively effective, this is because the layout means that it is easy to read and understand where each story featured can be found throughout the magazine. As there's lines between each feature it breaks them up making it easier for the reader to understand. The bigger font size is some areas allows the main features in the magazine to stand out compared to the rest. This allows the feature to draw attention of the people that are reading the magazine.

By having the name of the magazine located in the top right corner of the contents page. it allows people to be aware of the magazine that they’re buying.

Page 10: DocumentQ1

The generic conventions allow my magazine to look more professional, this is because they allow the audience to know where each of the features within the magazine are located. This means that the person reading the magazine isn't spending all of their time searching through the magazine for specific stories or features. By making the number clear it meant that the audience could easily read and understand them. It allows them to relate to real magazines.

Page 11: DocumentQ1

By adding the three photos of the main artists in the magazine it allows the representation of the social group to be stronger. This is because the costume and body language represent the theme and social group. By having the photos in this specific layout it allows them to look more interesting and appealing than just having them all in a straight line. The shape of the middle image allows the image to stand out more due to the unimportant parts of the image being taken out because of the shape.

Page 12: DocumentQ1

By having an image covering half of the double page spread it shows the artists importance and significance. This is because it is the biggest more important part of the page. the image allows reader to identify who the artist is and also means that they can link the story with a face. The photo allows the audience to have an idea of who the artist is and what social bracket they come under. This is all due to the body language, facial expressions and clothing.

Page 13: DocumentQ1

The watermark under the article allows the spread to look more professional, it makes the page look more interesting as it adds detail meaning it is less boring to look at. The watermark allows people to identify the artist and also the brand. It makes the story look interesting and also shows expense.

Page 14: DocumentQ1

by adding page number it allows people looking for features and articles to easily find them. This means that the readers are spending less time looking for the article and more time reading it. They will correspond with the page numbers on the contents page.

By having a information block on the main feature of the magazine it allows readers to be more interested in more information after reading the headliner story. It promotes the brands webpage meaning more people will go and have a look at it increasing brand awareness. The feature isn’t too big either as it is placed in a empty gap of the page making the page look more full and interesting.

By having such a told title it means when people are flicking through the pages in the magazine then will be drawn to this article due to the huge title in which will stand out. By doing this is makes the article look interesting and important due to it standing out more compared to the rest. This will encourage the reader to read tis specific story.

By having a album advertisement at the end of the artists article it makes the double page spread look more professional. This is because most article based on artist are to talk about singles or upcoming albums. By having it in bold it allows it to stand out from the rest of the text as it is more important overall.
