Scotch The opening scene to our film consists of our protagonist, Eldon, awakening whilst still holding the bottle of scotch he was drinking the night before.

It is implied that he fell asleep drunk, as the bottle will be half empty

This will evidently show the misbalance in his mind as he has turned to alcohol to get to sleep at night; reflects the various conflicts in his life

Mobile Phone’s Eldon’s iPhone displays all the missed calls and messages from his ex regarding his daughter

James takes a photo of Eldon after he stumbles and falls to the ground with his phone

Numerous school children are seen recording Eldon’s ‘implosion’ at the climatic moment of the film

Mobile phones are convenient devices used in everyday life, which will be equally portrayed in our short film.

Messenger Bag Eldon carries a messenger

bag when attempting to get to work

It shows that while often tardy and unorganised, he is still aware of what is required of him and makes an effort to bring what he needs to work, when he needs it

He is seen fumbling through it while on the train; this depicts his lack of organisation/togetherness

Lined Paper/Elise’s

personal statement

Elise hands her personal statement to Eldon to look over in order to gain advice

This illustrates his responsibility and need to be reliable, as students look up to him

Elise is shown to be a well mannered, hardworking pupil through the presentation of her work, adding to her shock at Eldon’s ‘implosion’.
