Front Cover - An update on my Front Cover includes my masthead being put behind my model's head on the front page. This allows the reader to be able to see the models face, and it's also removed part of the masthead. In my opinion, this feels more sophisticated and elegant. It connotes that the readers won't need to see the entire masthead in order to recognise the magazine. I have also added cover lines, a splash, a barcode and manipulated the photograph to appeal and be appropriate to / for my target audience and music genre (indie).

Contents Page - My contents page is nearly finished. Although, I would like to experiment with a background colour that isn’t white. The white feels too simple and new, and my genre (indie) is not new nor simple, it is edgy and alternative, so I may experiment with a gradient background of black, grey and white tones.

Double Page Spread - I have re-drafted my article with my artist. I have included a paragraph about how the artist became a star and a big paragraph about the artists music (her album and how it has inspired and helped people). I have also removed the questions in my article as I felt it was quite unsophisticated and felt too much like a pop magazine. My DPS is almost completed, I just need to finalise the title, find a place for my masthead and add page numbers to the bottom left and right corners.
