Spotlight Studios #1MOTION: In white, “Spotlight Studios” appears in front of the black background. A spotlight switches on and moves gradually until it finds the I. After that, the ‘i’ in spotlight glows.

MEANING: The colour of “Spotlight” is a dark and dull colour and the letter and word ‘I’ has connotations of individuality as it stand out from the rest.

COLOURS: The colour brown has been used because it is a mundane colour which connotes the feel of nature. The green is a brighter/lively colour.

Spotlight Studios #2MOTION: There is darkness at first but then a spotlight turns on. “Spotlight” wipes from the top to the centre. “Studios” wipes from the bottom to the centre. After they meet, the darkness returns but “Spotlight Studios” stays.

MEANING: “Spotlight Studios” remains white and neutral at first but then with the spotlight, it stands out more.

COLOURS: The colours of the spotlight connote how the production company works with passion, excitement, new ideas and creativity.

Aperture Productions #1MOTION: The aperture shutters move 90 degrees clockwise. A white flash appears in the middle as “Aperture Productions” zooms in until the A and E are outside the shutters.

MEANING: Creates the idea of Aperture being “different” and “fresh” from other productions.The white flash brings a unique idea to what we already have.

COLOURS: The colours are different shades of brown for the shutters because it connotes that Aperture are different and consistent.

Aperture Productions #2MOTION: The Aperture shutters spiral inwards like a moving illusion. The white flash is in the centre. Eventually, “Aperture Productions” fades in and zooms outwards as the movement of the shutters continue.

MEANING: Creates a sense of being unique as colours and Aperture are integrated.

COLOURS: A range of colours have been used to connote consistency as there is a pattern with the bright colours. The brown represents other institutions.
