Production Company Analysis

The Production Company that will be producing our

movie are Warp Films; they are an independent

Production Company based in Sheffield. We have

decided to use their services as they have been

behind some of Britain’s most distinctive films of the

past decade and have past experience in the genre.

The company was behind the movie The Company has

been has released a multinational crime story for Sky Atlantic so shows that the company has

experience in creating films similar to the concept we are looking for. The company managed to win

a BAFTA for the best short film on its first movie titled “My Wrongs#8245-8249&117”. The

companies’ second movie titled “Dead Man’s Shoes” was shot in only 22 days and on a very tight

budget, the film was however nominated for a record of eight British Independent Film Awards and

one BAFTA. The movie won the Hitchcock D’or at the Dinard festival and won the Southbank award

for the best film.

Their sister production company Warp X focuses on

mainly feature films with budgets between £4,000 and

£8,000.

This information is key to us as this company would

be vital to use for our movie. The company has made similar

programmes to our movie meaning they have experience in

exactly what to do to make our movie the best it can be, the

company will know the conventions well to make our movie

as realistic as possible. The company is also used to working

on low budgets which is exactly what our movie has. This is

therefore key as they will know how to stretch the money we

have in order to achieve the most we can. Therefore this

company would be ideal for our movie as it is tailored to our

movie ideas more than some production companies.
