General Idea #1: Sugar And Spice
Two girls who are seemingly opposite are forced to work together on a school project which will have a massive
impact on their final grade of the year.
After spending time together they both soon realise they’re more alike than they’d first thought.
The general meaning of the film would be how clique’s and reputations get in the way of friendships and
bonding of other clique’s.
General Idea #2: The League Of Un co-ordination
Several teenagers across the country find themselves forced into a lengthy stay in one of the countries most advance Research Facilities due to their unexplainable ‘abilities’. So far from home and only eachother to relate
to- the small minority try to get on with their lives like normal youths.
A few ideas for The League Of Un Co-ordination
Introduction- Each character will be introduced individually.
They will be shown entering a room on there own, however the camera is only on their feet. The next shot will then be a still photo of the character, looking glum and objective. Then I plan to have the screen go white and have the information of each character typed on as if it were being recorded into a computer- For example
Name: Lace Hitch DOB: 07/05/92
Entrance date of facility: 2nd February 2009
Diagnosis: Unknown - N/A
One example: A dog is shown entering the said room, struggling excitedly on a lead that is being held by a guard (shot only on the feet of the two). Then on the photo it will be a boy but with the same lead around his neck. Then the character will be shown then exiting the room as a dog- without the guard.

I asked my target audience which genre they most liked to watch and most enjoy. Comedy and Action are the most popular and I plan to try and merge the two of those
genre’s casually together within my short film. Although Action more often than not requires a climax, for an event to build up. This being a short film, I may not have
enough time.

I asked my target audience which power they would most like to have and here are the results. Unfortunately the most popular was flight- which I highly doubt I would be able to make happen- but the majority of the other powers seem to be do able with one technique or the other- by manipulating shots
or using special effects.

I picked a few popular characters that are featured in films. From the results, the target audience tend to prefer a rebel. So this type
of character will no doubt be featuring in my short film
Conclusion
Judging by my research- I think which ever idea I choose to go for, the majority of my target audience will enjoy it. However providing I can get the hang of applying special effects, I am more drawn to the 2nd film idea as it will give me the opportunity to feature more types of characters and a wider selection of comedy or action moments due to having ‘powers’
