Howrah Bridge

The Howrah Bridge, is a cantilever bridge with a suspended span over the Hoogly River in West Bengal, India. It links the two cities of Howrah and Kolkata (Calcutta). On 14 June 1965 it was renamed Rabindra Setu, after the great poet Rabindranath Tagore, who was the first Indian and Asian Nobel laureate. It is still popularly known as the Howrah Bridge.

BOTANICAL GARDEN

The Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Indian Botanic Garden (previously known as Indian Botanic Garden)is situated in Shipbur, Howrah near Kolkata. They are commonly known as the Calcutta Botanical Garden, and previously as the Royal Botanic Garden, Calcutta . The gardens exhibit a wide variety of rare plants and a total collection of over 12,000 specimens spread over 109 hectares. It is under (BSI) of Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India.
