Russians found the drawings of biathlon that was made about 4000 years ago
Swedish Bishop Olaus Magnus published a book in 1539, which is based on winter sports including biathlon.
Between 16th and 18th centuries, biathlon developed in Norwegian and Swedish army.
Biathlon contest was played as a sport in 1924, 1928, 1936 and 1948.
Biathlon was officially accepted by International Olympic Committee(IOC) in1949.
Biathlon in Olympic events was held in 1960 at the Squaw Valley.

All biathletes start together and the 1st across the finish line wins.
15km for men and 12.5km for women There're 4 bouts of shooting with the 1st shooting
bout being at the lane corresponding to your bib with rest of the shooting bouts being at the lane in the position they arrived

7.5km for men and 6km for women 3 laps, with 2 shooting rounds 8 shots for 5 targets 150m of penalty
2 women and 2 men Legs one and two are done by the women, legs
three and four by the men. The women legs are 6km and men legs are
7.5km as in ordinary relay competitions.
