We, the teachers of the different countries, were officially introduced to the parents of the students in an act, in which, among other things, they represented the history of their city by a funny theatre play.
We visited their classrooms and we saw how they worked.
The whole center worked hard to prepare our welcome.
Big welcome banner at the entrance
Fully decorated aisles with our flags
The parents made typical cakes offered for breakfast
All the students learnt things of our countries by decorating the school with theme banners.
Their texts and images explained, in an easy way, how the gastronomy, traditions and folklore are, as well as some of the most important architectonic works and personalities of the countries of each of the schools participating in the project.
Some of the murals dedicated to our country
Details of one of the murals
Some moments of our meeting.:
The meetings started early and in one of them we exchanged presents in between the schools
We had lunch in the school dinning hall and we came back to the meetings afterwards
We met the Major of Toru and he explained to us some of the most important details of the Polish educative system as well as of the city of Toru.
We exchanged some presents at the end of the meeting
We did some activities with the school students such as:
The planting of a tree symbolizing the birth of this project
We already have something that join us together!
One of the most interesting activities was the guided tour, in English, the students prepared to show us, which, for them, are the most representative buildings of their city.
