I designed a Harris magazine as part of my preliminary task to get a rough idea of a typical and conventional magazine. This magazine is targeted at the same age group as my actual magazine so I can refer to this when producing my final product. I included the basic conventions such as clear headings, a main image, a bold masthead title. I've also included a bright colour scheme as it grabs the audience's attention. As it is my preliminary task, I've designed it quite basic so my final product can look a lot advanced in comparison to this. Completing a preliminary task like this benefits me as it shows my understanding of creating and designing a magazine front cover and contents page, therefore I can improve my skills to make my final product better.
