1st Quarter at a Glance We begun the year 2015 with the theme, “REACHING ALL PEOPLE BY ALL MEANS” in a 21day of Prayer, Purpose and Planning. After the peri- od of fasting, the HuD Insti- tute started work on the SeXsense summit and tour where we reached out to eight (8) schools and church- es in February and March. The Life Development Acad- emy (LiDA) was also held in March and April where members of were trained in our personal development courses. The HuD Consult followed this up with the LEADPRE- NEUR WORKSHOP for busi- ness executives and young professionals in the month of April. tation on the necessity of a

proper sex orientation for

the youth of today. The ur-

gency of this orientation is

heightened by the onslaught

of the media on the populace

with the “sex surge” under

the impression that sex sells.

mation about sex for the

students to understand the

sexual urge and make in-

formed decisions with re-

gards to their sexual orien-

tations.

SeXsense Summit @ LIC, UG, Legon

The LIC Youth Ministry in partner-

ship with the HuD (Human Devel-

opment) group organized the 9th

Annual SeXsense Summit 2015 to

tackle the menace of premarital sex

and to offer hope from the Word of

God to those who find themselves

ensnared in this practice and a way

to break free from its destructive

consequences. Emceeing the Pro-

gramme were Catherine Essien and

Linda at the main church of Legon

Interdenominational Church, Uni-

versity of Ghana on February 23,

2015. Dr. William Okyere-

Frempong, (CEO HuD Group Gha-

na, leadership coach, medical doc-

some clean facts about sex, demystify-

ing the myth that surrounds the birds

and bees. The thrust of his message

was that in the face of the present digi-

tal age with all the surge from the me-

dia concerning sex and its appeal,

H.I.V AIDS is a reality even though

other diseases such as Ebola has taken

the spot light from it. Accordingly he

stressed that even though prevention

of this disease is as easy as A.B.C, the

ished that condom was not the

best solution to prevent S.T.Ds,

rather Abstinence was.

A.B.M took participants of

the tour through some clean

facts about sex and why it is

important to only awaken

the desire for it at the appro-

priate time and context,

which is marriage. He thus

pitched abstinence high

against being faithful to a

particular partner and the

usage of condoms which ac-

The 18th of February saw

the SeXsense tour at the All

Nations University College,

Koforidua. The tour which

fell under the university’s

career service program was

hosted by Mr. Lawrence

Larweh, the Administrative

and Brands Manager

(ABM) of the HuD Group.

On the 13th February, the SeXsense

tour was at Our Lady of Mercy Sen-

ior High School, Tema – Commu-

nity 5. This event saw some 800

students benefitting from a presen-

tation made by Mr. Walter K.

Awuah. He took the students

through a sex sensitization process

that provided practical skills and

means of managing the sex drive in

a manner that was in line with the

teachings of the Christian faith and

backed by the Bible. Before wrap-

ping up his presentation Mr. Walter

K. Awuah had the whole student

body up standing and taking the

Abstinence Till Marriage (ATM)

On the 28th of February, Dr. William Okyere

-Frempong spoke at PENSA, Korle-bu chap-

ter. He led the students through an insight-

ful SeXsense presentation. Participants were

encouraged to abstain from sexual acts till

marriage

and remain

faithful to

the glory of

God.

On the 8th of March, the SexSense

Tour reached Aburi Girls Senior

High School at Aburi. This event

saw Mr. Walter K. Awuah speaking

to the student body on the topic

“My

Body, God’s Temple”. He ad-

monished the ladies to keep

their bodies sacred; abstaining

from sex until marriage.

They educated listeners on the

PANTANG REHAB CENTRE, PANTANG

In line with the LEADPRENEUR Charity Pro-

ject, Dr. William Okyere-Frempong conduct-

ed a personal leadership session for the resi-

dents of the P.H.D.T.R.C on the 1st of Febru-

ary. For this month of February he spoke on

“Proper Planning for 2015”. The residents

were as usual taken through fundamental

steps of achieving this objective of a proper

plan for the year and subsequent ones ahead.

Dr. William Okyere-Frempong was

a guest speaker at the Ebenezer

Baptist Church on the 15th of

March. Addressing the congrega-

tion, the C.E.O of the HuD Group

Ghana gave a sermon on the topic-

“Character Counts”. The members

of the church, were glad to have

this influential man of God share

his inspiring and insightful words

with them.

On the 13th March, new members

of the HuD Group together with

those who had subscribed to vol-

unteer with the Group were taken

through a HuD Orientation, as part

of our Life Development

Academy (LiDA). The two

courses run for the day;

“Course 101” and “Course

102” were facilitated by Mr.

Kofi Awuku-Sao and Dr.

William Okyere-Frempong

respectively.

ment and Goal Setting” which was

The SHE-MAGNATE program on the

14th of February which was organized by

INVENT at the University of Ghana Stu-

dent Representative Council conference

room was honored to have the C.E.O of

the HuD Group grace the occasion with

his presence. In addressing the audi-

The HuD Group was invited to be

part of the Career Week celebra-

tion of the University of Ghana. Th

Okyere-Frempong engaged pupils and

teachers of the Royal Standard Leaning

Centre in Dansoman, Accra on the topic

“Making Career Choices”. He inspired

them through; providing answers to their

questions on career choices. The head-

mistress of the school, Margaret Morgan

on behalf of the school expressed appre-

ciation to the HuD Group for honoring

their invitation.

Placement Meeting for the HuD Group’s

newly signed up volunteers was held at

the Mine. The meeting with Dr. William

Okyere-Frempong, saw the country

C.E.O taking the volunteers through a

briefing on the vision, mission, culture

and placement into the ministry.

PROFILE: Karis, Head of Executive Training Programs, HuD Consult

the winners of the famous Ameri-

can competition, Who’s Who in

American Universities and Colleg-

es? She is currently pursuing an

MPhil in Career & Guidance

Counseling-Psychology at the

Methodist University , Ghana.

She is the Manager - Administra-

tion & HR of Aviation Alliance

Ltd., GSA for Delta Air Lines in

Ghana, her responsibility includes

oversight of the Human Resource

department (where she has a nat-

ural liking for seeing human de-

velopment and desires to see peo-

ple think spiritually about them-

selves) and also conducts protocol

requirements for the M.D’s high

level clientele. She has also

worked as a Financial and Busi-

ness Analyst at Alpha Primus Ltd.

Karis is a growing Christian, she

aspires to the higher ideals of holi-

ness and growing in the likeness

of Christ. Her social life includes

her voluntary services for the staff

at Agape House New Testament

Church (AHNTC), and the Co-

leader for the North Dzorwulu

Life group and President of

"MOSAIC" the Young Profession-

als ministry of AHNTC. She was

one time a President of the Fel-

lowship of Christian Students

while at Agnes Scott College and

has served in several leadership

positions. Karis has a passion for

broadcasting and was in the Radio

industry for 7 years, she was once

a co-host of the “Morning Inspira-

tional Drive” and hosted “Straight

from Da Heart with Karis” on Sun-

ny 88.7 FM, as well the host of

"Every Home" on Citi 97.3 FM,

before that a student volunteer for

Sagal Radio; an educational com-

munity radio station whose target

audience was the East African

refugee populace of Atlanta, Geor-

gia in the USA. In a natural transi-

tion from radio to television

broadcasting, Karis hosted the

Gospel music show; “Glorious

Praiz” on eTV, Ghana from June

2012 to August 2014.

Karis serves as a leadership coach

and speaker with The HuD Group,

a Christian leadership and men-

toring organisation. She is the

head of Executive Training Pro-

grams at the HuD Consult.

In summary through HR, Career &

Guidance Counseling, broadcast-

ing, leadership & mentorship Ka-

ris' primary mission in life is to

use the gift of encouragement God

has given her. This gift is used to

give people a vision of themselves

as God sees them; as noble, won-

derful, beautiful sons and daugh-

ing an agent of change in their

world.

Karis Emefa Senanu is an only

daughter of a family of four chil-

dren. A friendly individual, she is

driven by a passion to see

Christ’s gospel of freedom im-

pact the society. Karis has been a

Christian for the past 23 years

and currently worships at the

Agape New Testament Church in

East Legon.

Karis is an International General

Certificate holder from Water-

ford Kamhlaba UWCSA in Swa-

ziland and an International Bac-

calaureate graduate from SOS

Hermann Gmeiner College, Te-

ma. Having performed excellent-

ly, she proceeded to Agnes Scott

College in the United States of

America (USA) where she read

Economics graduating with hon-

ors with a cumulative grade

point average (GPA) of 3.5 and

received many honors, awards

and scholarships during that

period. Some of the honors,

awards and scholarships includ-

ed receiving the Letitia Pate Ev-

ans Scholar which is a merit-

based scholarship awarded to

students who rank top 10 percent

of their class, the Dana Scholar

which recognizes scholars who

demonstrate academic promise,

character and leadership poten-

tial and the Datalel Scholar

which is awarded to students

with strong academic and extra-

curricular achievements. Karis

enviably made it onto The Na-

P3 -PRAYER, PURPOSE & PLANNING

We began the year with our annual P3 fast-

ing and prayers where the ministry waits

on the Lord and plan our corporate and

individual purpose of the year. This was a

21 day fasting period which begun on the

4th of January and ended on the 25th of

January. The theme for the year is,

“Reaching all people by all means” and the

scripture is 1 Corinthians 9:22b

Dr. Joe Amoah also had a blissful
