Fishtank Website This website displays a girl dressed in sports clothing portraying her as rough and chavy, a stereotypically rebellious girl. Her body language and facial expression show her anger and frustration suggesting one aspect with regards to the plot of the film. The cloudy sky with the sunny undertones, allude to hope or happiness which could come through towards the end of the plot. The link to the trailer under the title of film is effective as it enables the viewer to directly and easily access the trailer prior to its viewing. This is particularly useful when searching for the trailer. Also the actors names at the bottom of the image are used to put emphasis on the names and popularity of the characters within the film world.

Kidulthood WebsiteThe name of the website is clear and easy to read for the audience. WIth a simple layout as a result of the time and budget the film had to dispense. The font and colour of the title make it stand out in particular with the quote at the bottom left. The inclusion of this catchy statement is used to entice the audience into viewing the film. The image of the dvd is not extremely effective as it draws attention away from the title and the image to the left. This is not

What I will use from these?I was relatively inspired by the websites I analysed, giving me inspiration and insight into what I wanted to include in my own, in relation to the fonts, layout, design, colours, synergy etc. Although Fish Tank’s website is not particularly informing as it is from the BFI, it manages to address the basic criteria of a film website: link to trailer, synopsis etc. Kidulthood, due to the date of its creation, is somewhat outdated and relatively simple. On the whole I believe this is helpful as I do not necessarily have the software or the means of creating an advanced website and therefore I am able to use these as they are not only of similar genres but also they have layouts I wish to imitate.
