How are the artist represented?

POP! Artist are represented in a very sexual way. Its almost as if they are on show. This would be referring to Laura mulvey theory of the male gaze. However in recent years women have been making it there own decision to dress in provocative ways.

10 YEARS AGO….

Pop artist weren't wearing sexual outfit but more of baggy clothing which made them look masculine. They blended in well with men.

TechnologyRecently technology has updated dramatically. Animation is used greatly to make the video more exciting and interesting.

COUPLE OF YEARS AGO

Things such as technology were not used in pop music videos. The camera only focused on the artist and there wasn’t much going on accept chorography. AA

MAKE UP AND HAIR Nowadays make-up and hair play a major role in pop music videos . Its all about the bright pink lipstick and the multi colored eye shadow. The hair are also very wild and vibrant.

10 YEARS AGO…

The Make up and hair in pop videos was not as heavy and dramatic as now. The make-up was more natural and calm and the hair styles were simple.

LightingPop music videos are known for there heavy lighting and vibrant colors. The lighting makes the video look more attractive and also gives it an expensive look.

IN THE 90’SThe Lighting in pop videos were very dull and boring. Warm colors such as black, grey and dark blue were used often.
