POOR LISTENING STYLE # 1

• Spacing OutSpacing out means that when someone is talking to you but you are not paying attention to them because our mind is wondering off into another galaxy. Not literally of course because that would just be weird. The person who is talking may have something important to saybut when you are spacing out you can’t hear anything that they are saying.

• Selective ListeningSelective Listening is when you are choosing to listen to a part of what someone says or choosing not to listen at all. We mostly choose to only listen to a part of the conversation that interests us.

POOR LISTENING STYLE # 4

• Word ListeningThis is when we are listening to the full conversation but we miss the meanings behind the words and the actual important part of the conversation.

POOR LISTENING STYLE # 5

• Self-Centered ListeningThis happens when people don’t put themselves in another persons shoes like if they are going through a rough time then when you are listening to them you actually need to understand them in their perspective of the situation to actually understand them.
