What is a Podcast?

POD = Playable on Demand

A series of shows, not a one time event.

Can be only audio; can be still photos with audio; can be video -- all options are available!

Recommendations:Planning -- needs a story board, just like any project.

Students should work with something they are passionate about.

Develops skills of speaking & listening directly; writing & reading indirectly.

Develops confidence and understanding of audience.

What hardware?If you have a Macbook or iphone it is easy, because it is built in.

For a PC you need a microphone (headset will work nicely).

Camera for still photos (optional)

Video camera for video (optional)
