Front cover image

- The main front cover image will be a medium shot of Leah Holloway as this is a music magazine convection.

- It will be a high medium shot looking down on her with the lighting coming from above to ensure she is the brightest thing on the page. This is so the photo looks different and stands out as it is from an interesting angle.

- Her nails will be painted black and her hair will be in two buns on either side of her head as it will look quite edgy and she is connoting an alternative genre. Also her makeup will be quite minimal but, with strikingly dark purple lipstick. Her nails will also be painted black.

- She will be wearing a tight black chocker necklace, a white t-shirt dress, an oversize denim jacket and black ripped tights with Dr. Martin shoes, as this will give her a rebellious look which connotes this reckless look of a rock star.

- Her mode of address will be directly at the camera to look quite intimidating as her facial expression will look as if she is screaming. This is to ensure the reader understands that the magazine is about alternative rock music.

- Her prop will be a microphone so the readers know it is a music magazine.

- The location will be inside a warehouse or an empty room with brick walls to make it look almost unpleasant to give it a contemporary feel. It also needs to be quite dark so the lightness of the light will contrast it.

Contents page images

- My main image on the centre of the page will be of Tommy Pym playing his guitar and singing into a microphone.

- The lighting will be dark with a spotlight on him to draw the attention on him.

- The setting will be plain so the attention is on him. The white walls will contrast the darkness of the photo.

- The camera angle with be quite low to give the effect that it is a fan’s view from a gig.

- He will have messy hair and wear no makeup.- He will wear converse, skinny jeans and a

checked top to give an indie feel to him.- His guitar will also be an electric blue to give

it a cool look.

- I will also be having 4 thumbnail photos that will be displayed to look like a polaroid photo strip.

- Two of them will be of Leah pulling two different angry/silly looking faces.

- She will have the same makeup and costume as the front cover image so they link, but will wearing head phones to connote the idea that she loves music.

- These photos will be a close up and in black and white.

- The other two photos will be of a close up of a guitar or a guitar pick to give an edgy feel.

- These photos will also be in black and white.

- There will also be a scanned photo of the editors signature to help the reader feel more connected to the magazine.

Double page spread

- The article content:- The article will be an interview will an amateur band

exploring why they came together, and how they want to make it into the real music industry. It will be a way of the audience understanding what they are really like and maybe possibly inspire them, through their dedication and ambition

- Questions will be asked such as:- 1. When did your interest in music begin?- 2. Have you always had an ambition of a career in the music

industry?- 3. What artists have inspired you?- 4. Where do you see yourselves in 5 years’ time?- 5. Who would be your dream collaboration and why?- 6. What is the hardest thing about being in a band?- 8. What country would you love to tour most and why?- 9. How did you come up with the band name?- 10. Who in the band writes the music? How easy do you find

creating lyrics?- 11. Where do you get the inspiration for your songs from?- 12. Do you get nervous before performing, and if so, how do

you control them?- 13. Was it scary being an anxious beginner?

- Photos:- The main photo on the left page will be of the band Just

Noise- They will not be looking at the camera as they will be

rehearsing and playing their instruments or singing. This is will give a relaxed and genuine feel to the article.

- They will all be wearing similar clothing such as a t-shirt and skinny jeans, which will all be darker colours

- Their hair will be messy and they will not be wearing any makeup as I want it be natural.

- The props will include drums, microphone, guitars and amps

- The setting will be in a genuine recording/music room to support the fact that this is a genuine band.

- The photo will be edited to look dark and fade to black as the background for the double page spread is going to be black to help the text stand out.

- The lighting will be on the band so they will stand out on the page.
