Inspirations
‘The Big Elephant In The Room’
• The ‘Big Elephant In The Room’ character we found a common theme in several public broadcast adverts.
• The character allows the personified object to become the tool of which the main message of the advert is carried through
• This we feel is a very effective way of carrying out the message and furthermore implementing comic appeal into the very serious message behind the advert
Fast Paced Editing
• During our analysis of other adverts, we found a fast paced approach to be important.
• This is due to the audience in which our adverts will be aimed at, which are stereotypically ‘the non-stop party teens’. So the fast patched music in cohesion with editing proved to match and create the right atmosphere most effectively.
Locations
Locations
• The location typically would need to be the stereotypical place where teens will meet in drunken occasions. This obviously being in the club/party which we observed from our textual analysis’s.
• This we found also especially is ‘NHS Essential Wear’ will need to be represent as dirty, with the alleyway type location that they go to after. We have the correlation of the location and the actions that are on film. These being related to STD’S and the location being represented as grim and dirty.
• Also from ‘NHS Condom Advert’ we found the location of the clinic reiterated the message furthermore to the audience and pretty much summed up the consequences of the actions the individual had taken. This we feel would provide emphasis at the end for our own advert and help display the message clearly.
