What is the magazine going to be about? It will be based on the music genre of ‘chill-out’

music! This genre is not very famous but it is hugely promoted on music sites such as Soundcloud and Spotify. An examples of this sort of music is Robin Schulz with Waves, alone a very famous song. It is vastly growing in popularity due to the power of the internet. Therefore I think it would be a good genre to base the magazine on. The magazine will be about upcoming artists, new big songs and upcoming events and festivals.

What audience will it address? Mainly people who use the internet to find

their sources of music. E.g. Soundcloud, Spotify! Also people who enjoy particularly this genre of music as well as enjoy discovering new songs and artists they will enjoy. Usually this involves the younger generation from an age rage of teens to late thirties, it appeals to both genders as well.

What music styles will be involved? Tropical House, Chill-out, Chill-step, Deep House,

Ambient, Garage, Lounge and UK Bass. All of these are not very famous genres of music on their own but together can attract wide audiences. For example MrSuicideSheep, The Sound You Need and Majestic Casual are the three most popular promotion channels of this sort of music and together have a total subscriber amount of 6,194,659 and a total view count on Youtube of 1,491,416,831! Yet there is not a magazine still for this music genre!

What will be the gap in the market it exploits? What is going to be your UNIQUE SELLING POINT? There is no other known magazine source of this kind

of music genre. The Unique Selling Point could become that I use Majestic Casual, a promotion channel on YouTube, to do a partnership with them and the magazine. I could use parts of the channel in the magazine, such as the logo, fonts, colours, slogans and images! Because Majestic Casual is very famous and has around one and half million subscribers this would attract them as the channel would let them know about the magazine.

What will be the preliminary name for the magazine, and the models of address in terms of colour font, voice etc.

I was thinking of possibly using the name ‘Majestic Casual’ as the name for the magazine as that would attract many viewers or subscribers of the YouTube channel to read it! Models of address; for colour would be related to the main colours of the channel which are white, fonts would vary but the title would be in a similar font to the channel.
