GENRERAP – I’m choosing rap as my main genre because I know the most about it over rock and indie. I’m very passionate about the genre. I know a lot about the talent behind the music, and the reasoning for such crude lyrics. Some of my favourite rappers include the group Odd Future, MF DOOM, 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G.

ROCK – I know a fair bit about rock, and it’s what the people I interviewed enjoyed the most. Some of my favourite rock bands/artists include David Bowie, Gorillaz and Arctic Monkeys.

INDIE – This goes from Rock to Rap, as I listen to some independent stuff too.

Based on results from my Survey Monkey questionnaire results, I’ve decided to publish my magazine once a fortnight, based on the two most voted results, once every 1-2 weeks, and less than once a month. This caters to people who don’t want the magazine too often, but often enough to stay interested.

FREQUENCY OF PUBLICATION

Page 4: Pitch

Based on my Survey Monkey results and my publishing frequency, I’ve decided to price my magazine at £2.99 per issue. This is because most people who too the survey voted for the option £2-£3. This is also based on the publishing frequency, every fortnight. People won’t want to spend more than £3 every week.

Style – The style is going to have an equal amount of pictures to text, and is going to be in a neat organized style like NME and Wordplay magazine. This is for more sophisticated readers, who like the magazine for the quality of writing, and not just bright colours and too many pictures of their favourite artists (Kerrang). The attitude isn’t going to be too in your face, but will still have a crude feeling to the writing. Curse words will not be censored, either on or in the magazine. The whole magazine will have a jokey sense of humour. The size of the magazine based on the price will be about 60-70 pages long.

This is Cara. She is 17 years old and is a female. She’s most likely to be seen reading a rock magazine that she buys once every 1-2 weeks that will generally cost her about £2.99. She’d most want to see Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz, Biffy Clyro and a few others in this magazine. She’d want articles on these artists and an equal amount of text to images. She doesn’t mind about where the images are set, and would like to see free merchandise within the magazine.
