I.OBJECTIVE:
To develop the basic understanding in optics and the working of a simple camera.
II. TASK: To construct a pinhole camera using a shoebox, black duct tape, clear tape, black
construction paper, aluminum foil, push pin, fast photographic paper, paper developer, and fixer.
III. LEARNING COMPETENCIES:
The final product submitted by the students must:
1. (Beginner Level) consist the appropriate materials used to construct a pinhole camera.
2. (Skilled Level) provide proper care in constructing the process of a pinhole camera.
3. (Expert Level) show the clear testing and modification of images.
CRITERIA LEVEL OF PERFORMANCE1 point 3 points 5 points
Construction – Materials
Inappropriate materials were selected and contributed to a product that performed poorly
Appropriate materials were selected and there was attempt at creative modification to make them even better.
Appropriate materials were selected and there was an attempt at creatively modified in ways that made them even better.
Construction – Care Taken
Construction appears careless. Process need refinement for a strong or attractive simple camera.
Construction was careful and accurate for most part, but 1-2 process could have been refined for a more attractive simple camera.
Great care taken in construction process that make structure neat, attractive and follows plans accurately.
Modification/Testing
Poorly modification of image that no visible reflection.
There is a modification of image that can be seen but vague reflection.
Clear modification of image is inverted, sharp and indicted the rectilinear propagation of light.
