Great to get your email and I’m glad to hear that you’ve been working so hard! Did you get your essay finished on time? I’m afraid I missed the deadline and I had to ask for exra time.

The reason I haven’t called you recently is that I’ve lost my mobile phone! I know, typical me- left it on the train while I was coming home late one night! Bet you’ve never done that! Anyway, obviously I need to get a new one. I’m so confused by all hese advertisements for mobile phones and networks –I just don’t know which one to go for. What would you suggest? Money’s not a problem really as I’ve just got paid for my summer job. Let me know what you think.

I’m sorry you have lost your mobile phone. Don’t worry about your silence. I can understand you absolutely because I lost mine last month in the cinema.

I understand that you can’t take a decision. All mobiles are similiar now and offer almost the same things. If I were you, I’d buy the last model of Samsung or a Blackberry if you want to use The Internet. If you only need it as a phone, the Samsung model could be fine.
