The FoodsArroz con guand:Ingredients:1 cup of Guandu, fresh or in a can (just use the whole can)2 cups of raw rice1 1/2 T. olive oil2 T. Coconut milk (you can find this at the liquor store)2 T Fresh Shredded fresh coconut (you can omit this step if you donot find any)1 1/2 T. salt2 boullion cubes, chicken, crushed3 Cups waterPut the olive oil and the salt into the pot where you will cook the rice. Put in the cup ofGuandu. Fry it lightly in the oil. Put the raw rice in with the Guandu that is fryinglightly, and also stir it around lightly frying it for about 5 minutes. Put in the 2 boullioncubes as well. Fry it around....Next, put in the three cups of water, and the coconutmilk, and the shredded coconut, if you have any. Bring to a boil uncovered. Let therice absorb most of the water. When only large water bubbles can be seen at the topof the rice, when the water is mostly absorbed, that is the moment when you shouldcover it. Lower the heat to simmer and cook for 20 minutes. At the end of 20 minutesit will be ready to eat. If you want to be healthy, eat this often. It will give you greatprotein!
