Painting demonstration using M. Graham & Co., oil paints. For anyone considering using a new brand of oil, this is one I highly recommend.

Here I tried M. Graham oil paint for the very first time. From the first to the last stroke the flow and color intensity was superior to anything else I had ever used. What will I think by the end?

I did my usual rough sketch in paint then started massing in the darks first …

Then minor beginnings of value and temperature modulation.

Next, building the main architecture experimenting a little early with minor details. Just could not wait to get to the fun part!

On with dropping in the left side architecture street and focal point fencing of this scene on Claude Monet Street, Giverny, France.

Further developing all other areas such as distant fencing, flowering bush and pillar/fence on right. I made sure all sun-washed areas were consistently positioned even though this is a painterly treatment.

The finished painting. Oh my goodness. From start to finish painting with M. Graham oils was a wonderful experience. I will be using them for a long time to come…
